I create things, photograph things, tinker with things, break things, fix things…why do I have a screw left? I believe the best solution is always the most simple one, even if it is the hardest. I’m uncomfortable with the word no without reasonable explanation. I’m a student of human behavior and seeing the repeating patterns. I encourage people to be themselves and to do what makes them happy.

I consider myself lucky in many ways: I’ve been able to have a career that has spanned 20 years, and the number of times I’ve had to wear a tie can be counted on one hand. In this profession my worst day is still better than someone else’s best day doing something else, being an astronaut excluded. I’m able to create things that people have held in their hands and cried, to only have my wife say “I don’t like the color.” I’ve been able to work on incredible projects, travel to amazing places and to have the word Dad as my favorite
job title.
